At Southern Title, our staff brings decades of combined experience in title examinations, closing coordination, and escrow management—backed by the personal service you’d expect from a locally owned company.
We’re proud to serve clients throughout Pulaski, Laurel, McCreary, Russell, Casey, Lincoln, and Wayne Counties, as well as our neighboring communities from our Somerset office.
Shawna VanHook, Owner
Shawna M. VanHook graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management and a minor in Industrial Engineering. She graduated from the Indiana University of Robert H. McKinney School of Law and is licensed to practice law in Indiana and Kentucky. Shawna values working closely with her clients to find practical, effective solutions to their legal matters. In her spare time, she enjoys running and Pilates and spending time with her family.
Shenah Ball, VP of Operations
Shenah is a long-time resident of Pulaski County and a 2001 graduate of Somerset High School. She previously spent over 16 years with Citizens National Bank and most recently served as AVP at First & Farmers. She joined Southern Title as the VP of Operations and is excited to carry on the company's tradition of excellence.
Jessie Keeney, Marketing Director/ Closing Agent
Jessie has been a Pulaski County resident for the past 12 years and is a 2011 graduate of Casey County High School. Prior to joining Southern Title, she spent 13 years in banking, management, and accounting. Her favorite part of her role is meeting new people and building lasting relationships with customers that go well beyond the closing table. Outside of work, Jessie enjoys spending time with her children, cooking out, and riding ATV's.
Brook Poloni, Executive Assistant/ Closing Agent
Brook Poloni graduated from Southwestern High School in 2014. She began working in finance and continued in the field for 11 years. Throughout her career, she mastered the art of balancing numbers while building strong client relationships. Outside of work, Brook enjoys traveling with her husband, Kody, and their two boys, as well as spending time outdoors.
John Polk, Abstractor
John has been an abstractor with Southern Title for nearly 30 years and previously practiced law in Somerset for 25 years. His work focuses on locating, analyzing, and evaluating title records for land, homes, and other properties.
Hannah Reynolds, Administrative Assistant
Hannah Reynolds is a 2021 graduate of Wayne County High School. She is friendly and approachable, enjoys helping others, and is eager to expand her knowledge in the legal field while learning more about title work. Hannah loves spending time with her friends and family, and in the fall she enjoys supporting her fiancé as a football coach. She is excited to contribute to the team and grow in her role.
Christina McCreary, Closing Agent
Christina is a 1998 graduate of North Laurel High School and brings with her 10 years of experience in real estate. Her knowledge, professionalism, and dedication make her a wonderful addition, and we have no doubt she will be a huge asset to our team, customers, and real estate partners. Outside of the office, Christina is a proud mom of two and an avid reader. We’re thrilled to have her on board and look forward to all the great things ahead!
